How long does a website take to build?
Most small business websites take around 2–4 weeks to complete, depending on the size of the site and how quickly we receive the content, images and information needed. We’ll give you a clearer timescale before work begins.
What do I need to provide before you start?
We’ll normally need information about your business, the services you offer, your contact details, logo and any photographs or existing content you would like us to use. Don’t worry if you’re unsure what’s needed we’ll guide you through it.
Will my website work on mobile phones and tablets?
Yes. Every SeaSideDesign website is designed to work across desktop computers, tablets and mobile phones, so visitors can use your website comfortably whichever device they choose.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes. Your website is built using WordPress, so you can make changes yourself if you wish. If you choose one of our managed website plans, we can also take care of routine updates for you.
Do you provide hosting and maintenance?
Yes. Hosting, security, backups and ongoing maintenance are included with our monthly website plans. If you buy your website outright, optional hosting and maintenance are available from £19 per month, with eCommerce plans available from £29 per month.
Can you redesign my existing website?
Yes. If your current website looks dated, is difficult to use or no longer reflects your business, we can redesign it while keeping the useful content and information you already have.
How does payment work if I buy my website outright?
A 50% deposit is payable before work begins, with the remaining 50% due once the website is approved and before it goes live.
Do you provide hosting and maintenance if I buy my website outright?
Yes. If you buy your website outright, optional hosting and maintenance are available from £19 per month for a standard website and from £29 per month for an eCommerce website. This includes hosting, backups, security and ongoing maintenance.
Is the domain name included?
Domain registration and renewal are charged separately at the current renewal cost. We’ll let you know the cost clearly before anything is purchased or renewed.
How do the monthly website plans work?
The Flexible Website plan is £69 per month with a £199 setup fee. The setup fee and first monthly payment are payable upfront, followed by £69 per month on a rolling basis.
The Managed Website plan is £49 per month with a 12-month minimum agreement, with the first monthly payment payable upfront. After the initial 12 months, the plan continues on a rolling monthly basis unless cancelled.
